Gloria M. Rector, a former Coast Guard Documentation Officer, founded Gloria Rector Vessel Documentation, Inc. After working in this capacity for over twenty-three years, she started her own documentation service when the Tampa Coast Guard Documentation office moved to Miami.

Gloria built the business by offering prompt, professional and affordable service. The current owner and president of the company, Jane Beale trained with Gloria for several years and continues to offer the same quality of service. Gloria Rector Vessel Documentation recently expanded its services to include the functions of a closing agent. The firm is now one of the largest of its kind in the country.

Services

We are experienced in all types of documentation transfers for both commercial and pleasure vessels. We process Abstracts of Title, Bills of Sales, Preferred Ship's Mortgages, and Amendments to Mortgages, Foreclosures, Claims of Lien, Initial documentation, Re-documentation, and Deletions from documentation, as well as State Titling and Registration for the entire United States. In addition to the above, we will assist with Delaware Corporations. We also assist with offshore closings with the assistance of the client's attorney of choice.

We also have expanded our services at the request of the yacht brokerage community to include the complete processing of the closing transaction. We prepare and circulate all closing statements for buyers and sellers. We create a complete file, including Purchase and Sales contract, Yacht Acceptance, Protocol of Delivery and any other related paperwork pertinent to the transaction. We are a third and disinterested party to the transaction and insure a flawless closing. We retain a permanent file on every transaction for easy access.
